As COVID stubbornly remains in our lives, so too do COVID-related scams.

Though not as prevalent as it was at the beginning of the pandemic, these scams still remain.

In this attack, a scammer is asking for a donation to help with COVID:

Most users should be able to detect this as phishing. Indeed, Avanan saw right through it and labeled it as a financial scam. One clever thing, however, is that it was sent to multiple recipients via BCC. It's an easy way to send the same email to multiple people with one keystroke, while also providing some cover when being examined by scammers. 

There are also no links or files, another way that can help it get past scanners.
