Links inside attachments are now replaced, so that the websites behind them are inspected every time the link is clicked by an end user
Link replacing / re-writing is a very effective security measure that ensures links are not only scanned when the email is received, but also later - every time the user clicks them.
Avanan now replaces links not only in the email body, but also inside attachments, ensuring Phishing attacks that utilize attachments with links are also prevented.
For every new Click-Time Protection policy, replacing links inside attachments will be the default setting. To change the setting in your existing policy, go to the new Link Replacing section in your Click-Time Protection policy.
Note - this feature is now being gradually deployed. You should see it in your portal in the upcoming 2 weeks.
