MSP Portal administrators can now grant help desk users access to the customer’s sensitive data only for emails detected as threats

Viewing the content of emails/files/messages - or even the specific parts detected as DLP violations - is an integral part of investigating potential incidents or deciding if an email can be released from quarantine.

However, granting this kind of access to customer emails is a delicate matter for MSPs that needs to be carefully managed.

The Avanan MSP Portal now allows administrators to grant users with such access only if Avanan detects threats in those emails – phishing, malware, spam, DLP etc.

To grant this permission to an MSP Portal user:

  1. Create or edit the user
  2. Check the Under Allow drill-down into customer data box
  3. Under the box, select All User Data or When Detection Exists
