Administrators can now configure how many days emails will be stored for, based on the threats detected in them.
Avanan stores emails for different periods of time to allow administrators to search through them to find emails that made it through, plan for policy changes, examine the correspondences of potentially compromised accounts and more.
Administrators can now configure Avanan to store emails for shorter periods of time to meet the organization's external or internal compliance requirements.
The new granular configuration allows administrators to modify the retention separately for clean emails, malicious emails, emails containing DLP violations and emails that were manually quarantined by them after they were delivered to end-users.
To modify the email retention policy, go to Configuration -> Customization -> Retention Settings and select Custom.
Note - this feature is being gradually deployed. It should be available in your portal during the next 2 weeks.
