Administrators can now configure a dedicated mailbox to which alerts on compromised accounts will be sent.

If you are subscribed to this blog, you already know how much focus we put lately on detecting compromised accounts and blocking them before they inflict any damage on the organization.

While the compromised users are automatically blocked by Avanan, security organizations still need to investigate the incident and eventually unblock the users.
Therefore, alerting on such incidents is still very important.

Some organizations manage security alerts via dedicated mailboxes that are either shared between the different security team members or are used for different integrations with 3rd party solutions.

Avanan now allows administrators to define a dedicated mailbox for the alerts on detected compromised accounts.

To do that:

  1. Go to Configuration -> Security Engines -> Anomaly Detection -> Configure
  2. Check the Dedicated mailbox for alerts on compromised accounts box
  3. Type the mailbox address under Dedicated Alerts Mailbox

Note – this feature is being deployed gradually. You should see it in your portal in the next 7 days.
