Administrators can now decrease or increase the retention period of archived emails
Email archiving is often tied to global and local regulations and compliance standards.
Some organizations and regions are require or obligated to retain archived emails for a specific period of time.
Avanan now allows administrators to control the amount of time archived emails are stored and available.
They can now select to retain archived emails for 1, 2, 3, 5, 7 (default) or 10 years.
To do that, go to Settings > Security Engines > Email Archiving > Configure and select the desired number of years under the Archive emails for field:
Note – changing the retention period will apply retroactively to all archived emails. For example, if you change the retention period to 1 year, emails older than one year will be deleted from the archive.
