Avanan’s Response to Organizations Affected by COVID-19


Avanan is introducing a number of short-term and long-term programs to help organizations affected by COVID-19. This is more than just an extended free trial. It is a change in the way we do business. We believe that many of the organizational and economic transformations of the past few months may last beyond the epidemic. These offers will help make it possible for you to respond to your own changing security needs.


1. Pay-As-You-Go, Usage-Based-Billing

As many organizations have had to make unexpected, sometimes drastic, changes to their workforce, you may not be able to predict staffing levels next month, much less next year, making long-term contracts untenable. To simplify things, Avanan is offering a usage-based-billing model that counts the number of active users each day and only charges for what you use. You won’t pay for disabled accounts, and any new users will be automatically protected. This new billing model is available to both new and existing customers for as long they need, even after the pandemic ends. Customers that are on prepaid, annual contracts can roll over any unused credit into the following year and credit card customers will only pay their prorated usage each month.


2. 75% Discounted Rate for ‘Light’ Users of Office 365

As their requirements changed, some organizations converted many of their users to Office 365 “F1” or “Kiosk” accounts to save money. Similarly, we are offering a 75% discount on these accounts. These accounts have exactly the same protection as the full-price offering, but steeply discounted to reflect the reduced usage. 


3. Three Months Free Incident Response as a Service (IRaaS)

COVID-related Phishing threats are on the rise while your help desk staffing might be running thin, so we are offering three months of our Incident Response as a Service (IRaaS) for your email-related tickets. Avanan’s experts will review end-user requests to release emails from quarantine and take proper remediation action. For new customers, this will simplify the deployment of our email security. For existing customers, this will reduce your help desk workload so they can focus on all the other challenges the pandemic has brought.
